Sytze Van Herck sends her greetings from the Forschungsinstitut of the Deutsches Museum in Munich where she currently works as a scholar in residence (January to April 2019). In the context of her research on the history of the design and use of computing devices she has the opportunity there to focus on a case study of the IBM S/360. The archive, library and museum collection in Munich are particularly useful to collect new sources and literature, and study the IBM S/360 model 20 in detail. Preliminary results she presented in the Oberseminar where she received valuable feedback from the researchers of the institute.
