Organisation

The organization of the Doctoral Training Unit is characterized by a clear definition of responsibilities and duties of all parties involved.

  • The Management Board is responsible for the general project management, including the budgetary monitoring, the coordination of national and international collaboration, the organizational planning, administrative support and the development of a coherent communication and dissemination strategy.
  • The Scientific Board members advise and support the scientific undertaking of the PhD candidates. Such a support encompasses a structural guide, a transfer of expertise in the interdisciplinary field, and a support in the art of scientific writing (publication, thesis).
  • Members of the Administration Team serve as backbone and provide advice in matters regarding the doctoral studies or administrative aspects.
  • The PhD candidates‘s mission is to learn in an interdisciplinary working atmosphere, to perform research in their field, and to complete their research project through a thesis report.
